I have a Televid 77, but I have been unable to find a Leica Digital Adapter 2 anywhere in order to mount a camera on it. I am assuming this is the proper mount for the 77. Any suggestions on where I might find one? Leica has discontinued manufacturing them.
Hi Dave,
Yes your are correct. The Digital Adapter 2 is the right adapter for your set up. Your right, they were discontinued with the 77 APO Scope about 4 years ago. Tough to find. First, I would call straight to Leica Corporation and let them know your situation. They may have an idea of who might have one floating around. Also call a few top photo places like Hunt Photo 800-221-183, B&H. In the mean time I will check to see what I find on my end. Stay tuned.
4/10/11 – Update on what I found out. The digital adapter 3 was designed to work with both the new and old eyepieces apparently from what I found out from my reliable Leica Rep. I have not used the adapter 3 but it surely is worth looking into and trying. I would however test your rig in the store to make sure you will be satisfied. Let me know how it turns out.
